Characteristics of Fuses for Switching Power Supplies Terms

1, rated current: switching power supply fuse of the nominal operating current.

2, rated voltage: switching power supply fuse of the nominal operating voltage. The rated voltage of the selected fuse shall be greater than the input voltage of the protected circuit.

3, breaking capacity: When the circuit appears in a large overload current, the switching power supply fuse can safely cut off the maximum current circuit.

4, overload capacity: switching power supply fuse can work in the specified time to maintain the maximum overload current.

UL standards: switching power supply fuse to maintain the work of more than 4 hours, the maximum non-fusing current is 110% of the rated current.

IEC standard provides: switching power supply fuse to maintain the work of more than 1 hour, the maximum non-fusing current is 150% of the rated current.
